Just how much are NVIDIA and META (Facebook) affecting the S&P 500? It might be more than you think. The average weight of two stocks in the S&P 500 is 0.4% but NVIDIA and META alone make up nearly 7% of the index. Furthermore, since they are both up SO much this year, they are accounting for a large portion of overall stock market growth. Let me show you the math. The S&P 500 is up about 6.4% YTD. META is up over 38% and NVIDIA is up over 58%! That means that these two stock alone account for about HALF of the S&P 500 growth!
