“I’ve been Travis’ manager for the past 3 years, and worked with him closely for the past 6 years. Travis has a unique combination of talents, both technical and leadership. His communication and presentation skills are excellent and frequently used. He has a knack for creating compelling presentations with data that tell a story. Travis has made significant contributions to the company aside from consistently delivering robust control designs. He effectively drove early maturity by engaging the mechanical team early in the design process by leading a cross-functional task force. He played a key role in developing a patented control architecture that reduced our design time and enabled optimal designs. He created an H-infinity design toolset which enabled intricate loopshaping while ensuring robustness. He measurably increased productivity of the controls and mechanical teams with a data collection and processing toolset. In 2006 I chose Travis to lead our team’s effort on two products. He performed well in the cross-functional environment, leading the control team’s effort from conception to successful mass production. I highly recommend Travis as a versatile controls engineer who is capable of both leading and making significant technical contributions.”
